I have purchased a spitzy 049. Good compression, runs on a prime, will draw fuel up to carb. Neddle valve clear all directions. Fuel is Novel 25%, plug ok. Won't keep running.
Any ideas pease.

Maybe the backplate is leaking. Do you have the Spitzy 045 with the intergral tank underneath or the Spitfire 049? Never had a Spitzy, but had a backplate leaker Spitfire.

Fuel draw

Many years ago I had a new OK .074 Cub that would just run out the prime . I found out that the spray bar was not installed correctly . If you can see a hole in the spray bar by looking in the intake ,something is not right in Denmark. Good luck MAX H. :lol:
