HP61 gaskets?

Postby dbarn » Wed Sep 27, 2006 2:05 pm

I wonder if anyone can help me? My HP61 is a 4 bolt head, front induction, with the cylinder barrel separate from the main crankcase, held to it by those four long bolts. Should the seating between the barrel and the main case have a gasket? Should a gasket also be between the barrel and the top of the liner? I have the main head gaskets, which seal the liner/cylinder head only.

There are no gaskets between the cylinder fin unit and the case. There may or not be a head shim. Not a gasket per say.
