K&B Stallion and Torpedo

Postby williamlee111 » Sun Aug 17, 2014 10:12 pm

I have an unrun K&B Stallion, and an unrun K&B Torpedo that I'm installing in control line planes. The instructions tell me a 1 hour break in period but what nitro/oil/Methanol mixture do I use for break in? thanks,
Bill

Here is the answer from our FAQ section. This will work fine in both engines.

What fuel should I use for modern older aircraft engines with lapped steel liners and iron pistons? A good commercially made glow fuel with at least 20% oil content by volume, not by weight. If oil content is measured by weight a minimum of 22% is required. Preferably all castor oil.
5 to 15% nitro content is adequate for general use. Higher nitro content can be used for competition but customer assumes risk or damage.
