Old K&B 3.5 Marine Inboard - Needs Rod, Bearings, Gasket

Postby Green Jumper » Sat Oct 10, 2009 6:53 am

Hi

Just acquired an older 3.5 with venturi on front left side, front exhaust with butterfly throttle on canister muffler. Compression and cylinder/piston fit appear to be good but engine apparently had been used in salt water or else was stored with water inside. As a result, there was rust on inside of crank which I have removed but bearings appear to be rusty also. Rod to crank fit is a bit loose, so thought that replacing rod would be smart also. Do parts for current inboard 3.5 fit? If not, what are part #s that I need and do you still offer?

Please advise

Thanks

Most parts fit, like the rod. You probably have a 12mm rear bearing.
