Worked over by C.F. Lee many years ago, runs good but I do not have original muffler, only muffler I have is a Flo-thru, it's loud, but is it legal? and what is better for the engine, the flo-thru or original potatoe type?

Flow thru is fine if you do not have an issue with noise. You can get our newer style muffler which will work good. The only difference is you will need to englarge the holes on your crankcase to accept the 6-32 screws. The earlier muffers used a number 5 screw. Also you must specify you want the longer screws when ordering.
