I finally, after 33 years, decided to run this engine. It was new, I broke it in and it flew great for about 10 flights. Then it started to lean out and then the pump became intermitent and unreliable. So, per the directions, I bypassed it and contected a fuel tube loop to itself. My question is: can I get a new pump? if not, should I just leave it alone? if so, should I keep the fuel tube loop or can I just leave it open. Also, if I can't replace the pump, would it be worth it to just get a plain back cover. And, are those available still? Part number for that is suppose to be 6509 but I can't find it on your website.
