K&B 48 Muffler.

Postby d_bodary » Sun Oct 08, 2006 7:24 pm

Today i lost the back half of the muffler. the back half is plastic. I bought this engine used. The previous owner said he removed the baffle don't know if this was true or not. But there was a piece of all thread through the muffler and it appears that the all thread broke. I tried looking on the website. A little confusing on replacement parts. The muffler is part# 30-4801. That was the easy part. they also list 30-4815 which is a muffler cap rear aluminum and also part# 6175 muffler baffle stud kit.

Question is 6175 does not seem like the new up dated part# and i do not know if it is even the correct parts that i would need. which would be the black plastic rear muffler cap the stud assembly and the baffle if there even is one for it and if 6175 is the correct #

Thanks
Dennis

We changed the design on the baffle. It is now pressed into the tube and not replaceable. Call 800-359-6972 for help
