Hey there i am working on a vintage atlas wood hydro and am having trouble getting the nitro motor started that it came with. The motor i got with the kit is a k&b .40 cubic inch nitro and for some reason i am un able to figure out which way it is suppose to be rotating. i get a pop either way i go but it does not turn continue to fire. I am using 20% nitro, maybe i need higher. this motor has never benn started and is new from 1970s. the crank shaft can be reversed to the other side and maybe thats the issue. it would be awesome if anyone has some ideas so i can get this boat on the water under some nitro power! thanks in advance.

Normally, the motor should be spinning counter clock-wise. Can you post a picture of the motor?
