MECA AT AMA'S 75TH

Postby G WILLIE » Tue Jul 12, 2011 9:04 am

This Thursday through Sunday is AMA's big 75th Anniversary celebration at their headquarters in Muncie Indiana. I will have the MECA (Model Engine Collectors Association) tent set up in Vendor's Row. I'll have engines on display along with MECA membership materials and publications.

Darrel Peugh, MECA's Region 9 Director will be there with a portion (1936-1937 engines) of his father's fantastic collection.

Former MECA president and Aero Electric owner Woody Bartelt will have a booth set up with his huge line of antique engines, replicas, and restoration parts.

Real useable model engines became available ABOUT the same time (actually a coouple of years earlier) as AMA was formed. Without these engines, AMA and our hobby would never have developed into what it is today!

MECA is THE historian for these engines. Stop by and say HI!
