Fk 50 Mk III Kavan (with ignition).

Postby Nicolas » Mon Oct 03, 2005 3:48 am

Hi,
I'm writing this mail because I have a big problem with my engine. It hasn't been running for 2 years,I cleaned it 6 month ago,and I tried it last week-end.
It started properly, but after a few minutes, the 500 cc tank was empty, the air relief tube was spiting huge amount of methanol mixed with castor oil,and the oil sump was full of the same mixture.
where is the problem, are there parts to change ?
Thanks for help.

There must be a source for the fuel to get into the oil sump, either by siphon while the engine isn't running or by fuel lines being hooked up wrong.

You can not get this amount of fuel into the oil sump thru normal carburetion.
