Lanier AT-6 Texan ARF

Postby mbarrack » Tue Sep 01, 2009 2:06 pm

Dear Mecoa,
I just finished assembling the Lanier AT-6 Texan ARF. It's beautiful. However it seems really(!) tail-heavy, even with the receiver battery forwards. The instruction manual calls for the CG to be "3-3 1/2 inches back from the leading edge, measured at the fuselage". Is this correct? Does this mean to measure back from the leading edge of the wing center section (the part which hold the landing gear) or from the leading edge of the outer wing halves? There's about an inch difference...

I've had to add nearly 10 ounces of weight to the nose to balance the plane! Does this sound right? Help!
Thanks!
Mitch
