Os max gasket set

Postby papaw14 » Wed Jan 30, 2013 1:28 pm

Looking for a gasket set for a os Max 40sr. Also wondering if there are any special tools to fit the muffler bolts, I cannot find anything that fits.

When you say SR, is it front or rear induction? There are only two gaskets and they are easily made from card stock. They use standard metric Allen wrenches front and rear. Both 2.5 mm

I use Felpro 1/64th gasket paper ... here is a pic of the FSR being fitted for new gaskets.. I use an awl to poke the hole, I do the whole thing dry, cut the excess off dry with a #11 xacto, make light cuts gently so you don't scratch your engine up... ... when I am ready to put the screws in, I put a drop 3-in One oil on each one... this helps "cut" through the paper flash that is left from punching the new hole... the muffler can be installed with a ball end allen wrench to get it started but then I finish with a small allen (3mm).
