Technipower 9 Ignition

Postby jerry1927 » Fri Dec 19, 2008 9:23 am

Has anyone been able to convert a Technipower 9 to spark ignition? Elmer Lohmolder told me, before he dispsed of the line, that he was unable to find a system that could fire at 40,000 sparks/min, necessary for running the 9 at 9000 rpm.

My engine (SN 9006,) was made by Wally Warner in Illinois, before he moved to Michigan and started Replica Engines (no pun intended.) Elmer supplied suggestions and new parts to improve its operation and now it runs OK. I always hoped to to make it a "sparker." Suggestions?
