K & B 40

Postby gossie » Thu Nov 22, 2012 4:56 pm

I'm interested in buying a K & B 40 front induction CL type motor.....not RC carb. on it.
It's to be used in FF and I could be interested in a reasonable one.

Is there a better 40 than the K & B for my purpose? OS perhaps?

Hi Gossie
I've got a nice Nelson 40, that will get you going vertical

Sounds interesting Rags.

You may as well PM me what you would like for it please, or I'll send you a text now.......but to be honest it'll probably be too rich for me.

Have been keeping an eye over the last few weeks re. K&B40, and in RC form they are not very expensive and in CL form should think no more or perhaps less, as no Perry carb. etc.

Also if I lost it in FF C ship it would not matter so much.

Hi Gossie
I see where you are coming from
I've seen K&B 40's for as little as 30 and 40 dollars.
The OS 40 FSR's were a great engine in their day, but getting a known good one might be a bit of a lottery.
Cheers John

Thanks John.....PM sent.

30 or 40 would do me fine for a reasonable K&B 40......I might even go to 50.
