Conquest .15 break-in reality check

Postby Cz10 » Fri Mar 09, 2012 9:37 am

Things a bit slow here, but maybe someone is still watching that will know this.

I acquired a Cox Conquest .15 CL that I need to break-in for a nostalgia build of a Jr. Satan.

The instructions I have here

state in the second paragraph under "Starting and Break-in" that for the second part of the proceedure I should use the propeller intended for flying (their suggestion is 7 x 5) trimmed to 7/8 of the original diameter. That would be 6 1/8 x 5. Am I reading this right? Are they assuming this is on a test stand? Seems like a very small diameter, but I guess the idea it to let the engine rev close to what it should turn with a 7 x 5 in the air?
